MEET COACH ANNA LEVY
MEET COACH ANNA LEVY, B.KIN, CSEP CPT, twin mom
Anna is a self-proclaimed outdoor enthusiast and weekend warrior. She enjoys backcountry snowboarding and rock climbing with her husband and other rad Moms. But now she does a little more roaming after her twin babies!
Anna believes that birth is the greatest athletic event we can perform and it is important to prepare for it as best as we can. Birth is also one of the greatest unknowns, so the better we can prepare, the better recovery we will have.
When it comes to postnatal training, SLOW is FAST, and it's important to work within your body’s limits and not rush the recovery and strength rebuild.
With a bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, as well as certifications through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) CPT, Fit4Two Pre and Postnatal Specialist, FST Level 2 Therapist, and a background as a Hiking Lead, Anna is an experienced guide and ready to help you achieve your perinatal fitness goals.
“I want Mommas/Birthing Parents to leave feeling strong and successful. You deserve: to fill up your cup, to have fun, to feel energized and empowered. Just because you have had a baby doesn’t mean you are not important. You also don’t need to go through life peeing yourself!”
MEET HELEN LO
Masters in physiotherapy, certified pelvic health physiotherapist,
Helen graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Helen’s first introduction to the physiotherapy profession started at a young age. As a child, she spent a lot of time in treatment herself following her diagnosis of juvenile arthritis. She also learned more about injuries and rehabilitation from her coach and physiotherapist while playing for the UQ Reds basketball team at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Helen is thrilled to now have the same opportunity to share her knowledge and help others through physiotherapy. Helen wants to work with you to develop a personalized plan to reach your goals. She believes using a combination of education, hands on manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, taping, and therapeutic exercise will achieve optimal outcomes. Helen has advanced training in pelvic health and has a special interest in working with women of all ages and in all stages of life. Helen grew up in Vancouver, BC but don’t let her love for the Vancouver Canucks deter you! She enjoys spending her summers running, biking, and camping. She also does her best to take advantage of the cold Canadian winters snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and hiking. In her downtime, you can find Helen relaxing at home, glass of wine in hand, with her cat, Earl Grey, and dog, Sadie. Helen is ready to help people of all ages reach their personal goals whether that be setting a personal best in their next race or taking their grandkids to the park!

meet Kendra Nickles
RN BN IBCLC - CALGARY, ALBERTA
Glencoe Club Lactation Provider
Kendra graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from Mount Royal University in 2018. She has been working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit since 2019 and is also working in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit since returning from maternity leave. Her passion for breastfeeding began when working in the NICU and understanding the benefits of human milk composition. Once she had her own baby, she began to understand the complex challenges that occur while breastfeeding a baby. This passion pushed her to start on the IBCLC journey and is very excited to be helping educate other mommas on the amazing benefits of breastmilk throughout their baby's life.
