Meet the new Owner of CrushCamp! [VIDEO]

Steve Park with his 7 medals from completing the Triple 7 Quest Run - 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days!

I am THRILLED to introduce you to the new Owner + CEO of CrushCamp, Steve Park! (Pssst already read the email intro? Scroll down for the video interview!)

Steve is a Chartered Accountant who spent over 25 years working in strategy, finance + business leadership in the corporate world, most recently at Stantec Consulting. He is an avid fitness enthusiast and distance runner, having completed both a 250-mile ultramarathon AND an epic adventure known as the Triple 7 Quest Run - 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents. No, that’s not a typo - you can read about it in Impact Magazine! Suffice to say, this guy is a real GoalCrusher!

So why CrushCamp? In his words: "As I have learned the value of movement, strength training, mental health, listening to my body and eating right,  I want to challenge myself to take it to another level and help others achieve the same results to simply feel healthy by more movement, strength training and improved nutrition! I am a seasoned business professional who is investing in CrushCamp for the long term. I am excited to build on the foundation that Emily and team have laid! There is so much potential to take the community to the next level. I know I have a lot to learn and I will dive in headfirst beginning with building genuine relationships with staff and clients. The moment I stepped into CrushCamp, I knew I was it the right opportunity for me (vibe, community, facilities, and staff) as it is aligned so well with my values of inclusivity, positivity and living an active lifestyle."

I met with over two dozen interested buyers, but Steve stood out to me not only for his incredible passion for wellness and value alignment, but for his kind, calm demeanour and desire to maintain stability for our team and clients. I know that with his decades of experience in business leadership and strategy, combined with the experience of myself and our team, CrushCamp will reach heights we only dreamed of before.

How this will affect the studio / classes / team:
In short, not much! It is important to Steve and I to maintain consistency + ensure a smooth transition for both our team and our clients, so there will be no immediate changes to our schedule, offerings, or team! All passes + memberships will continue to be honoured / renewed with no interruption. Looking forward, the CrushCamp team will be creating new opportunities to enhance member experiences. And I'm not going anywhere, either! After I finish showing Steve the ropes, I'll continue to stay involved with marketing + strategy, and crushing classes with my favourite people at my favourite studio! CrushCamp will always have my heart, and while I chose to scale back my role for personal reasons, I am entirely invested in the future + success of CrushCamp, and excited to see it grow and evolve with our new leader!

You are all invited to meet Steve (and me!) at "Biscuits with the Boss" Saturday, April 8th from 9:45-11 am at CrushCamp. - Click here to book your class for Saturday.
