WOLF PACT CHALLENGE WEEK 6 | WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Congratulations! You have reached Week 6 and you are now probably sitting somewhere on this spectrum:

On one end: THAT WAS AMAZING I CRUSHED ALL MY GOALS AND LOST 6% BODY FAT AND MADE 23 NEW FRIENDS AND DISCOVERED THE MEANING OF LIFE

One the other end: Well…that didn’t go according to plan. Better luck next time.

Which leads me to ask you, do you know why the Wolf Pact Challenge exists?

It exists because health is a long-term game. And it’s about more than just fitness. It’s about discovering love and respect for all your body is capable of, creating a community to keep you accountable and support you in your goals, and discovering ways to nourish and balance your body. Just like Krista shared in last week’s post, it’s about finding your “why”, your balance, and the activities that you love, that will keep you active and healthy through your years.

So maybe things didn’t go according to plan. Maybe you got a little off track because you came down with the flu, or had to travel unexpectedly for work, or had to help out a friend or family member. Maybe you learned that, right now, your career or family (or both!) is taking so much time and energy that you weren’t able to prioritize your health.

THAT IS OKAY!

Because, I am going to let you in on a little secret: the fitness test, the photos, the BioScan, the habit tracking, macro counting, the Facebook community, even the badges - these are all just TOOLS. They are not all going to work for every person. As a matter of fact, we don’t expect that they will. One person may be super motivated by macro counting and numbers and crush their BioScan, while for another it was all about feeling like they have a support community to show up to class, while for another it was a victory to pick up 20-lb dumbbells for the first time.

THESE ARE ALL SUCCESSES! REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOUR FINAL “TESTS” SAY

And guess what? This isn’t over. The quest for “health” and “balance” does not have an end. And regardless of whether or not you have 20 stickers on the board, or of what your final BioScan or Grey Wolf says, my hope is that, at some point in the past 6 weeks, you…

  • Tried a new recipe

  • Did something you have never done before

  • Met somebody new

  • Cheered on a teammate

  • Pushed yourself past your comfort zone

  • Learned something about yourself, your body, your health, or your priorities

So here is my final challenge for you. Sit down in a comfortable chair, close your eyes, and ask yourself these three questions:

  • What is one thing I have learned about myself during this Challenge?

  • What is one thing I am proud of myself for accomplishing during this Challenge?

  • What is one habit, practice, or routine that I can sustain beyond November 30, to continue to improve my overall health and well-being?

Each of these is worth CELEBRATING! So do it! Share your victory – no matter how big or small! Because you never know who might be inspired by a glimpse of your journey.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

See you all at the party this Friday!
